Leaning towards 3rd weekend of Oct. This would be in conjunction with the forum's amateur contest making it a forum wide contest covering all bands.
    Thoughts, comments please.

This is the weekend folks. Most contacts and points gets the prize of travelling to Capt KW's QTH to install all the yagi's for him.... Of course on your dime.

Convert that 3-1000 to grid drive and you can throw away the AL-811. ;)

    Large CME Observed

A nice coronal mass ejection (CME) is visible on Wednesday morning in the latest corona-graph imagery. The source appears to be a filament eruption behind the east limb. Because this is a farsided event, it will be directed away from Earth.

    Space Weather Prediction Center.
    UPDATED 2017 Oct 19 1230 UTC

    .24 hr Summary...
Solar activity remained very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed
    in coronagraph imagery.

    .Forecast...
Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels the next three
    days (19-21 Oct).
