Hello.
I don't think it is my computer because it only happens on this forum
Whatever I click on in this forum it loads slow.
Even when I'am first opening the forum itself.
Is anybody else having this problem?
I didn't know where to post this so I hope this is the right place.
Thanks

works great for me

I have been having some trouble with various Iranian porn websites lately though, possibly related?

When i came by yesterday is was a little slow and some links would not open

Thought it was my slow dial up here in the sticks

yah, i had trouble with that too ever since I came on this forum. I am on dialup using ie7 and vista and part of the problem is that the text won't display until all the pictures are downloaded. How I handle it is I open multiple tabs ( no more than 3 of different pages) and then and leave it downloading while i read another page when the turning coloured wheels on each tab stop turning I click work offline then pull the fone line. after that it still takes about 3 to 4 minutes for whatever scripts are in the source code to finish working before anything will display. I know it's tedious but that's the fastest way i've found to peruse the site.

I think it's the ebay ads. I notice that IE7 & IE8 have some issue with them. When I downloaded Firefox and started using it, I noticed a world of difference...not just on this site, but everywhere.

For kicks, download Firefox and let us know if it still does this.

I think at some point the ebay ads are going to have to go if that's what the problem is.

I am having the slow issues today also, Firefox , DSL and it just shows waiting in wwdx.com for about 30 sec. on each item I try to open. Do NOT have the same on other forums today.

I have noticed that the site was running slow for a while now, too. I am on wireless connection and using Vista and IE, but it does it with Opera too.

No moleculo, to give honour where honour is due I can't blame ebay because ever since march 2009 I could stare at everything above and including the article headline and ebay ads for several minutes so they were already downloaded. I had already considered a different browser but I have an extensive history of messing up computers and so I made a solemn commitment to myself to never run extraneous binaries on this one. Incidentally however, I happen to read reddit.com occasionally and any link that points to news.bbc.co.uk tends to give the same grindingly slow symptons. 73's

Firefox was always fast I had it installed on my last computer for a backup after Internet Explorer was attacked and messed up they said use firefox to Browse until Internet Explorer is straightened out.

This was all great but one problem I COULDNT GET ON THE WEB TO GET FIREFOX so as a backup when the Explorer was back up I imediately grabbed firefox to have ready as a backup.

I noticed right away it was a way faster speed and and was apparently trouble free. I am so used to Explorer that I didnt like the screen layout differences of Firefox but think its going into this quad core I biult this past year.

Explorer acts up ALOT and Firefox seems like the ticket.
