I can not see clearly see inside the back, I can make out the transformers , big caps and a stack of bridges to make DC
but I bet it has no voltage regulation.
2x8 is just a bad idea all around.

Not a thing wrong with a pair of 455's driven at 1.6-1.8 watts. 2 watts is too much. Proper bias on the 2x as well as the 8x and you have a solid SSB signal. Chances of that happening here?

Not much, if they build the power supply unregulated for it I seriously doubt they biased the amp for SSB.
Most of the Fatboi amps I have seen were constructed with only enough parts to make it produce rf.

Should just run the radio into the 8 without the 2 driver transistors.
For that kind of money you could get a really nice HF rig and a 1000+ watt tube amp to go with it.
There's a lot of Real Estate to be had in there...
You could throw a WhatABurger in there
and have something useful come out of all the otherwise wasted heating....
