I just cut the 15 or so wires on that 6" multi jumper with the two long flat connectors and inserted a 15 foot long 25 conductor cable on my dx70 with a dab of solder and heat shrink each time till done. Took a couple hours to do a neat job if I remember right. That was 10 years ago and the seperation kits were hard to find even then.

I've owned 3 DX-70's. Still one of my favorite rigs. Only thing that bothered me was the weak, delicate design of the remote cable.
