Galaxy 2547 Receiver Broadband?

I recently expanded the channels on my 2547 (the PLL jump) and it's working well except the receive sensitivity drops as I approach the band edges. I can't seem to compensate for this using the alignment pots. Does anyone know if there is an additional modification available for improving the receiver bandwidth on this radio? Thanks for any help.

comparing the schematics of the 2547 to the 2517 which has lots of channels; there is definitely a difference in how L6 is coupled to L7.

look at the two schematics and you will see what i mean:

it looks as though they broadbanded the VCO somehow here also.

you might try changing C52 from a 1pF to a 2pF capacitor, but the rest of the changes get quite involved.
