Galaxy 45mp - RR tuned

Recently got my Galaxy 45mp from RR. I must say, he did a very nice job on the tx and rx. This is one of the new Galaxies with the 6900 board. Very clean loud audio and much better rx than any Galaxy mobile I have owned.

Thanks RR!, Hossless

Hey Hossless,

Would you recommend that radio to a friend. Nobody around here has one that I know of. I would like to know what kind of real world watts it puts out? Then would it make a good driver for my XT-400?

I like over powering crystal clear AUDIOOOOO!!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/devil.gif ALT=":evil">

Thanks in advance for any feed back, Jeff aka Lucky<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/glasses.gif ALT="8)">

Hello, am I wrong? Is it the 6900 or 6300 circuit board??<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/embarassed.gif ALT=""> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":">

Hey Lucky, so far I would recommend the 45mp. But I have only had it for about a week. It has two 1969 finals like the other Galaxy radios. But it also has the 6900 main board in it like the 2517 and the new 48t. The rx seems to be alot better than my old 99. I tried an RK56 and didn't get real clean audio. But with the 636 it's puting out super clean loud audio.

On my meter it's showing a swing of just under 30w. It IS driving the heck outta' my xt400, doing a clean 1000w (on my meter) in the pickup, and about 850 to 900w in the big truck.

Hope all that helped, Hossless<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smokin.gif ALT=":smokin"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)">

PS, LOVE that back lit face plate, great for night driving.

690010z board yep...and thanks Hoss, glad you like that radio. Jeff, on my meters it does what most duals do, about 35w peak from a 2w carrier and about 12rms (on a Bird).

I've been told the 56 cancels more noise than the 636.

Anyway, I tried three rk56's (borrowed from a local), and none of them sounded as clean and loud as my two 636's.

Well, I've had it for over two weeks give or take now. It is still performing flawlessly. The audio is very clean and loud, and the receive is much better than my Galaxy 99.

So far, no complaints, and I'll be the first to complain - or give praise... Give praise when due - RR did a really nice job setting this radio up for me.

PS, I have to agree with you on one point Tommy, that huge power plug is unnecessary. Where do you get one, if one goes bad??

TOMMY!!!

I guarantee you, you're gonna' end up loving that radio. Even with all it's internal "imperfections"?<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek">

My 45 is definitely a keeper.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/grin.gif ALT=" >D">
