Galaxy DX 95T2 - Help!

I recently picked up a Galaxy DX 95T2 from a friend. The only problem I have with it, is that I cannot put a power mic on it. Seems the modulation limiter was taken out or a lead clipped; I got it this way. The stock mic works OK; but I want to able to run a power mic on it.

What is the most common mod on this radio that can cause this problem? What transistor would I be looking for on the board?
I want to fix it and put it back to stock.
Any Galaxy fans out there; or anyone that knows that 'fix'?

Turns out that all of the parts are intact from the factory. The mic preamp in this radio runs so strong - that one only needs to put a stock mic on it. This radio was designed for the mobile operator in mind. Either I will keep it - or sell it. Not sure yet.

O.k. so I have to ask....

If the radio has that much input gain, why would you want to use a power mic?

Also, you could always change the value of the pot in the power mic so it attenuates the level in a more useful way at the lower settings. Or put a resistor in.

Habit...I guess. I like what the D-104 does for my transmission - always have...

O.k. well you should be able to use the D104 by just barely opening the gain and in turn turning down the mic gain on the radio. By barely opening, I mean taking the pot just a mm off the stop of 0 to turn the circuit on.

Put the rig at 9-o'clock or lower and just barely crack the D104 gain pot until you have signal.

This is basically how I used a D104-M6B feeding a Yaesu 857, which also has a ton of input drive.
