Hey: Guys.

I just picked up a used in mint condition Galaxy DX-979.

I notice the receive audio on these radios is too high piched,
is there a capacitor on the board I can change the value of
to make it sound more like a Cobra 148-GTL ?

I have see mods for wiring a capacitor from the center lead on
the volume pot to ground but I don't want to get into that so
if there is a capacitor in the audio chain that can be swapped
out to make the receive audio less tinny or lower piched, that
would be the best for me.

Thanks in advance guys.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
