I have a Galaxy DX2547 Base station and a tabletop scanner What kind of antenna would be good to hook up to the base CB radio with SSB?

The price is right, and the performance is great. I know 3 people other than myself that are using it, and they all say that it works way better than what they had before. I can say from personal experience that it will put the A99 to shame on both local and DX.

Whatever antenna you try, the higher it is the better.

Up to around 80 or 90 feet, anyway.

I shot skip off my roof rake handle on multiple bands and the results were great, but I think the OP is looking for a plug and play solution to get his feet wet and have some fun. If a little fun don't come first, he may lose interest.

This means specific make/model suggestions, not broad ones that lead to endless internet searches. Lets stick to listing tried and true options that are currently available.

There are a billion options when searching for a random 5/8 wave or yagi. Just my 10 cents, not looking for any trouble lol...
