Galaxy Sqelch issue

I have DX99V and on AM 27.185 I can not turn the squelch on, it wont silence the backround noise. Could this be a problem with the antenna? Thanks
 

It sounds to me like the squelch needs ajusted as part of a RX alignment. Try it out for a couple of days just to make sure it's not some wierd atmospheric condition or local interference. If it continues, have it aligned and make sure and mention the squelch issue. It shouldn't be hard to resolve.
