A very strong signal on the front end, but it could be ANYTHING, in the front end, IF stages, mixer, etc. Just have to trace it down one stage at a time until a noticable attenuation is noted. You also didn't tell me, but you said that it acts like the squelch is up a bit, so does it receive like normal after the signal "breaks" the squelch, or is RX low all the time? If it's low all the time, and once a signal breaks squelch, it's normal, it could be a faulty squelch amp as well. Hard to guess over a computer.

It was BNT keying up with his HT on his last flight through Delta. Its funny it happened in the parking lot there. I would be kind of scared keying with any kind of wattage around an Air Port especially with HomeLand Security the wat it is now.

haha What is an HT? I don't key power at the airport. Besdieds, it came in thru the receive. Justin said it looked like the radio got hit with some serious RF. More than a big truck would normally carry.



Strange thing is, it worked when I shut the truck down, and did not work when I started for home 8 hours later.
