So I pulled out my RCI2970n2 from retirement, and here are the symptoms: it has an on/off amp switch. Amp off 10 swings to 40. Amp on 20ish swings to 40. This is on s real peak reading meter. The power supply is more than up to it. It is running on a brand new power supply cable from Bells. Got a good guess so I can determine to invest in a repair or just leave the amp off and run it into an amp?

Since technology has gone way too far ahead - the replacements for the original- if it used Pills let alone the MOSFET ones, may not be available as OEM. The upgrade repair may not be worth it.

Best to keep it stock and use it with the amp off.

By symptoms alone - you lost one pill of the pair that's in there now.
