25 watts and an inverted vee got me from South Carolina to Costa Rica on 10 meters today. That was pretty darned cool. Took a lot of patience, but he finally responded to my call. He said I was 5-1, but it was good enough to get a confirmed QSL in LoTW. Good enough to make an HF noob happy!

Very cool! I did Pa to Ca on 10 watts, not DX but still far. My first DX was Italy on 90 watts and a simple EFLW so I share your enthusiasm.
