Gulf Alpha Beams

Ok so it was time to upgrade to the circular polarized beams for Satellite work. I ordered the 5 Element 2m and the 8 element 70cm. The build up was pretty easy, took about an hour and a half each to get them assembled. There are no instructions so you need to go by the pictures on the web site, but they are pretty easy. I have some pictures of the build up and then installed on the tower.

One of the T Connectors was missing so Pete is sending one out and I was only able to use one half of the 70cm until that gets here.

I worked a couple of the AO-51 passes and the improvement was immediately noticed even on one half of the 70cm beam.

I'll post a bit more when the other T fitting gets here.
