Any thoughts or suggestions on a Automatic Antenna Tuner for the Yaesu FT-840 transceiver . I have a VECTRONICS HFT-1500 but think i would like a ATU all suggestions appreciated .New to the hobby.

I would suggest to tune your antennas.
If not CG-3000 should do.

I have a LDG At 200 pro that I use with my FT 897D sometimes.
It works well with the radio, will tune with as little as 5 watts and handle 250 max.
It has served me well in that role.
