Ham radio in short film

Was passing some time on nightshift, during a meal break of course, and found this sci-fi short film
that surprised me when ham radio was featured.



Not a believable story really, nor entirely technically correct, but still interesting & gets some favorable
comments.

There have been TV shows which had characters using Ham Radios too.

Tim Allen of Home improvement actually became a Ham.

On the true story side, my favorite is Kon-Tiki. Years ago it was required reading at my school. In 2013 it was made into a full length movie. A must see IMO. The following 2014 ARRL article best explains the Ham gear used.
