I have read about the diodes in the D201 that can be clipped for more modulation. Is there a mod for the handwired version for more audio? Thanks for any info!

The AM modulation limiter adjustment is a tiny blue trimpot mounted on a tie strip between the 6GH8 tube that drives the big 6L6 and the power supply. Seems to me I should have a picture of that pot. In the schematic it's called R647. No need to clip anything. Turning that trimpot for max audio will accomplish the same thing, but without a pair of wire clippers.

I'll see if we have a picture of that on file at work. Don't have it here at home.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
