Ask a lot of people what Memorial Day is about, and quite a lot, will say it is a
holiday. Party time etc. NO IDEA what it is really about.
Some teens I've talked to are shocked that it is to remember our fallen servicemen/women. They just think it's another chance to party!!

Yeah, nothing really to be happy about, other then we have our freedom because of those that gave it their all. I have a great uncle buried in France from WWI, and numerous others that served in nearly every conflict from the civil war on. If you see a soldier, thank them for their service. If you get the chance, fly the stars and stripes, and follow memorial day tradition on flying at half mast.
