i got corrected when i wrote when I set the dead key on my yaesu they replied it's not called dead key the terminology is call carrier. LOL

Hardcord hams on QRZ

They're serious about radio on QRZ, eHam etc., a fair amount of those operators on the forums are engineers of one sort or another. They've done this stuff professionally as well as a hobby. You can learn a hell of a lot about RF there, especially antennas, if the mood strikes you. You might have to wade through pissing contests and chest-thumping to get to the good stuff but it's there. But you won't see CB myths or lingo. They don't use or tolerate it.
