Hi- new to the interest and having an issue with noise from my vhf to my stereo.
I have a Kenwood (tx-?) older unit in my truck for monitoring truck traffic while I am on logging roads. What is happening is if the truck stereo happens to be on when I key the mic I get a very harsh tch sound that has already damaged some speakers in the stereo. Is there a fix for this? the simpler the better. Thanks

It's as simple as "turn the stereo off when using vhf". You're overloading the front end of the stereo. If you're listening to CDs, the transmitter is being picked up, rectified and amplified by the stereo wiring.

Use one or the other.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
