Been looking at the Galaxy DX 2547 Base anyone have info on them Good? Bad? It's a nice looking Unit! What about power mods? looked at cbtricks found a bunch of info but nothin on power tweaks!

thanks for the info guys sounds like it may be worth a shot especaily with the ekl mods does anyone know the output with the ekl daul final mod? (I love MOSFETS)? ought to be pretty decent!!

I agree with Justin. I've done the EKL mod on a General Longstreet to see how it would turn out. On AM its more or less acceptable, but for SSB, it lousy. Very non-linear, which is BAD for SSB operation. Even on AM, the over-all quality wasn't as good as I'd hoped. It definitely added some output power, though.
