I recently bought a nice Heathkit HW-101 . Since these were made for so many years , I was wondering if there's any way to tell about what year mine was made ?

Thanks

I know the radio itself was constructed by an individual (and whoever built mine did a great job) . But what I was wondering , since the kits were made from 1970 to 1983 ... is if there is anyway to be able to tell a 1970 model from a 1983 model ? Like a serial number , date stamp , updates to the newer models ... something like that .

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
