Heil mic gm4 or 5.1

Hi i iam after buying a heil mic and was looking at the goldline gm4 but i need to know will it suit my old yaesu ft 747gx a very basic set with no eq settings.

Anyone running such a setup with good results. Any ideas about the 5.1 gm or hm 12 on the ft 747.

For communications purposes the '5' is probably about as good as it get's. It's a bit lower in 'tone' than the '4' and not unnecessarily as 'wide' as the '12'. That's not the best way (or the most 'correct' way) of describing it but the best way I know of.

Waste of money. Buy good electret capsule and it will work perfect.
