HF Base Rigs / Power Supply

Do you need a power supply to run most of the base rigs out there? Just wondernig because everytime I check Kenwood HF rigs on Gigaparts they are selling a power supply with them. (and I'm not looking in the mobile section)

get a quality power supply that has good filtering otherwise you will not be happy with your radio. Kenwood makes a good supply like the PS-53 they show for the TS-570S, bit more pricey but worth it in the long run. IMHO

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
