One of our local vendors got screwed at the Ham fleamarket on the weekend. FYI.

On February 27, 2011 a person claiming to be Mr. Colin Xx VE3CSS purchased an Icom IC-2820H, serial number 506054. The real Mr. Colin Xx is not an amateur radio operator from Ontario but a victim of identity theft from Vancouver, BC.
As Com-West Radio Systems was operating at a remote location; the Burnaby Amateur Radio Club Swap Meet at the Queensborough Community Centre, 920 Ewen Ave. New Westminster BC, we did not get a verification of the fraudulent credit card at the time of the transaction and thus has forfeited the value of the radio.
This IC-2820H is considered to be “hot” so the amateur radio community should be aware of any “good” deals on an IC-2820H and check for serial number 506054. It would be nice to find who was using Mr. Xx’s identity.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
