How to broadband a 5/8 wave

My two most recent, and best antennas I've had in recent memory are the sirio 2016 and sirio gainmaster 5/8.
The 2016 is a fairly broadband antenna. But the gainmaster is awesome! I know in the past it's been susceptible to high winds and they have worked on that. Mine has taken some serious wind, no problem.

When they say No tuning required, that's what you get.

Nothing you can do. If you need more BW, buy a different antenna. You could try soldering a 50 ohm resistor across the feedpoint. That should give you all of the BW you could ever want.
What would that do? I know it’ll shunt it and make it a dc ground basically. But beyond that?

It is a radiating dummy load, almost infinite BW. Probably more efficient than the incandescent light bulbs, people used back in the day, and poses a true 50 Ohm resistive load.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes

Wes, it's better if you start a thread on the main forum, more people are going to see your question.
