HR 2510 RF meter problem?

Bingo!!!!! I lifted one side of the caps and problem solved all screws in and case on....thanks a million Jeff!

Maybe, just maybe this explains why my meter will vary from time to time on several of my 2510s! Seems if the is high moisture in the air the meters acts up a bit, if dry it seems to be fine. I know all to be well with the antenna and a external meter proves it.

same issue with mine. I pulled all the cable connectors to the board that has the LCD display and re-seated them. solved my problem. hope this helped. 73s greg
The connectors that connect the various boards, and sub-assemblies are a known problem on the '2510. Re-seating them will often cure some problems. I sprayed a little DeOxit D5 onto the connectors to help improve the reliability.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
