10 meters has been hot so I pulled out my 2510, put it in the pick up. The VFO doesn't move the frequency backwards, only forward and that is only hit or miss. Any one have any ideas what the cause could be, or where one might send it to for quality repairs in the US?

Channel encoder is broken I think. Very common failure.
You can replace it with any pulse encoder will fit.
