Guys...its a 7 digit frequency counter. It doesn't need an open clarifier if you can adjust the frequency 10Hz at a time.
It may work like the cre8900. Depending on how you set it up in the menu, the clarifier could adjust just the RX, or the Tx and the RX. In fact, you could adjust the RX and the key up and adjust the Tx separately. What I didn't like is it wasn't a free flowing clarifier. It adjusted using voltage and each time it "clicked", it would have a millisecond of interrupted receive. Outside of the difficult to use menu setting to adjust mic gain (stupid) and talkback, it is a fantastic little radio. I like the sound quality better than the optima personally.
