Ic-718 Mod.for 11 meters

    Has anyone done a modification on a Ic-718 to get 11 meters?

    Are you looking for the needed mod..
    and or to know if it works well ?

    I could look up the mod..
    My friend did it on his IC-718 and sounds very good

    I'm looking for the mod. plan on purchasing the ic-718 and it would be nice to have 11 meters in it. Thank you.

    To remove D54 do you unsolder the 2 joints and it will come off?

    Or you can desolder and lift one side. Or crush with precision tweezers, not recommended, but I have seen it done.

    This is an old Thread, yes but I have a question, "Is there any tuning needed for the 718 to operate on the 11 meter band ?

    It's a broad banded radio. The tuning adjustments you would find in older multi-band radios are not needed for this kind of design.
