Hello happy people, a question please.
I have an Icom 725 that I cannot connect to with Ham Radio Deluxe. I get an error about not being able to get the frequency. I have tried 3 different computers using either a USB to serial converter or the serial port built into the laptop. I even found the original Dos program and loaded it on a very old laptop with Dos. Nothing worked.
Is there a difference in the CI-V cables for the Icoms? I bought the cable new at a hamfest. The dealer assured me it was the correct cable. Is there something I could be doing wrong or just missing a step?
