i got a icom 271-a but git no power cord with it i opened it up see the red black for power but what are the little red an orange wire for that goes to the dc hook up thanks

Those wires are for use with the optional matching power supply IC-PS25. The power switch on the front panel of the radio also has contacts wired to the AC input of the PS-25 so that the power supply turns on when you turn the radio on. Most Icom power supplies do not have a separate power switch as Icom designs the radio to turn the power supply on.

BTW here is a link to the manual for that radio if you don't have one.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
