After the power transistor 2SC1971 blow up I have replace it with another 2SK3075. This transistor is more availability and easier to get, and at the same time it also get a little more power, from 68 to 71 watt.

Never understood why ICOM & Yaesu used these finals when they are only rated at 70 watts output & they sell the radios as being 75 watts output? Pure stupidity on their part & scamming the consumers who don't know any better.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
