Ok here's the deal.
I have ic t2a and want to run it on 13.8 volt power supply
I seen some where were they soldered wire on to the empty recharge pack(bp-194) and ran it from a power supply.
anyone know of any ill effects this has on the radio.
Radio will run on 13.8 to 16 v dc
Thought i would get some use out of it to listen to scanner traffic
Thanks KD0GOJ

The bp-194 is for 8 AA batteries, which means it delivers 12 volts to the radio (8 x 1.5 volts). All you really have to do if you want to convert this to a power supply adapter is solder the wires to the positive and negative terminal that is connected to the battery. Look at the battery posts to make sure how they are connected to make sure you're not shorting it out. It should be real simple to figure out.
