I know people do the Imax above beams all the time and from what I gather it helps the Imax by acting as a ground plane for it.

This is fine but I seen one person on the internet say that if I use the beam under the Imax as a ground plane it will detune the Imax so as it will not work on 17-15-12 meter any more.

I want to use it on these bands not just 10 meter.

Any one have experience with this setup?

Thanks,
AP

I cant imagine it would cause that much havoc I see people do this all the time I have talk to several that explained there setup as either an antron or Imax above there beam. I cant see how this would cause any issue at all aslong as your obviously running the beam horizontaly or flat.

I don't think I'd worry about the potential problems that much. It might cause some pattern distortion on the vertical, but I doubt it would be enough to notice.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
