I know what the matching section looks like...i used to own one of those antennas. I want to verify my suspicion that the capacitor in that circuit is really only there for lightning protection. It should be blown in that antenna.
Why would fiberglass atract lightning more than a metal one? I have a A-99 up at 70 ft. to feed point on 60 ft. crank up tower I think I might take it down and put up the super penetrator that I have.
Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
