Hi All. I am new to this forum. Am getting back in basic CB radio after a 30 year absence. So I am out of the loop so to speak. So to keep things simple at the start , I am going to install a basic dipole antenna (center Balun) in a large tree approximately 25 to 30 feet in the air. So in trying to stay as basic and simple as possible what would be the best overall configuration of this antenna in order to be as omni-directional as possible??? Thanks in advance for your tips and comments.

At 25-30 feet in the air, you aren't going to be terribly "bi-directional". Put the dipole up, tune it and use it. See how it works over a period of several days or weeks. THEN see if hanging it in a different direction has any effect.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
