I remember listening to an original Walkman when it came out in 1979. My friends brother picked one up while stationed in Japan. I was impressed with the audio quality of the headphones at the time.

I wanted one, but couldn't afford it on a privates pay. I think it was over $200. You can get basically the same thing in a blister pack from Walmart for $15 now.
