A friend an I played with a 2 meter saltwater antenna, hell over a decade ago now. It worked rather well. We didn't have it up in the winter so can't speak to freezing. We did have to take the antenna down and shake it up every now and then or the salt would settle...
That was one of many antennas we built just to play around with...
Did I miss something in that plan or is there no resonant frequency mentioned for the build? Looks to me to be little more than a salt water dummy load. I've built those and they work but radiate as well as a dummy load should.
Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
