I grew up listening to C.W. McCall. Even saw him perform between games of a day/night doubleheader in August(?) 1978 at then Royals Stadium in Kansas City. Everyone got tee-shirts with his likeness, sponsored by Midland. Later we bought Radio Shack CBs for the farm. A few years ago I redeemed myself and bought a Midland for the farm semi truck.
Even Convoy got a bit old after a while but I get a kick out of hearing it again from time to time.
Kind of neat to know that this was the genesis of what would become Mannheim Steamroller.
