Does anyone know where you can source the weird 5 pin johnson mic plugs ?
The pins are spike tipped. I have been looking and coming up with a blank.
I have a couple of johnson 250's and i need those mic plugs.
Are they out of production ?

Try ebay and type : CEA-CB5DF twist-lock 5-pin DIN mic plug Craig Johnson CB's, Regency Polaris VHF

    • Fits Johnson 40, 50, 80, 230, 250, 260, 270, 430, 4170, 4175 CB radios

Good luck

If memory serves, this is the right one.

This radio has six-wire mike cord. On a 5-pin plug? The metal shell of the plug is the ground connection for the receive speaker, but only when the ring is clicked into place. Just plugging it into the jack with the ring loose may or may not work every time.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
