first one is what would keep the squelch from working?turn the knob and nothing happens.I opened it up to do the diode mods and found a couple of connectors with broken wires.i repaired the broken wires so hopefully thats no longer an issue.

Join the yahoo users ts 440 group, a wealth of information on there site.
I have a 440, I enjoy using it, fun rig to play with but they do have some issues and need some TLC every now and then.
Problems with the TS440 are well documented as are the repairs.
Good rig, sensitive receive, decent audio on tx when paired with a an MC50 or MC60 mic,
