ok working on my Rotary Channel Selector RCI-2990 and I was told before it cant be fixed... so being the Pollock I am f what people say!!! ^^ ab v c^^

I used a super fine polish on the copper and the contacts with a Q-tip gave them a little "bend in"

so I have some radio shack Cleaner / Lubricant would it be a good Ida to spray that in before I put I slap this thing together or just leave it dry?

this is what I found inside so simple :thumbup1:I have tinney eyeglass screws to hold the back on

Never leave a switch dry. It will wear out in no time. Spray it with the cleaner/lube you have. It's about as good as any since you have already cleaned the switch.

Thanks for getting back to me I was thinking the lube would be good to keep the copper from oxidizing and stop the contacts from cutting in to the copper but at he same time I don't want it to some how gunk up in there..

I got it back together with 4 eyeglass screws and it is working like a dream!

ill get some pics of the eyeglass screws I hope this helps some one down the road. it makes it so much easier to manually scan through the freqs now... <More audio>

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
