o.k. it feels like an other world now and i dont even have a call sign yet or a radio. im gonna start studying for the general class now and i have my eyes set on the icom 756 3, i think thats what its called. cant wait untill im in the database!

the icom 7600 i think im gonna make that a goal for the future and get a yaesu vx-8r/e to start with.

Congratulations! Don't quit while you're on a roll, up-grade, you'll never regret it.
As to the 'used' price of that '7600, I haven't seen any used ones yet. They're still too new for a lot of them showing up on the used market unless there's something really 'wrong' or inconvenient about them. (Even Icom makes a good radio occasionally, this may be one of them. sorry, couldn't resist)
