Most radio folks I know are interested in sunrise/sunset times, different time zones, distances etc etc and I thought this site may be of interest. It has all sorts of info regarding sunrise/set times, moon rise/set, moon phases, time zone, custom clocks and calenders etc etc. It's all configurable for your location or at least within a few miles. Check it out. I bookmarked it.

I used to love looking for dx based on gray line prop and using the W6ELP propagation prediction software. If you have never tried it I highly recommend doing so. Did I overshoot the point of your post?

Gray line is a great way to pick up some nice DX especially on the lower bands. As for overshooting the point of my post......impossible. My post had no point.

No really, it just has a lot of stuff I thought was neat. Sometimes you want to know sunrise/set times or distance between two points, when the next eclipse is or just plain be curious about the amount of potential sunlight in Jarkarta on April 19.

You ready for this??

If I can't see the sun then it ain't sunrise or sunset, yet. A lot like those 'Indian Weather Rocks', you know? There's always a 'fudge factor' between calculated times and actual times. Go with what works for you, not what's -supposed- to work.
I -used to- be able to convert times/time zones/stuff at the drop of a hat. I guess I dropped that hat too many times and can't now. Hey, I'll them other guys do that...
