Is it possible to actually under drive a TS 667V ? All this talk about tickeling the driver with a very low dead key. What if u had a low dead key of 1 and a swing of 5 or 6. Would that be under driving it ? Thanks
I have plenty of amps where I run very low input without issue. If you go too low it may not key the circuit though. Some of the older small 2 x 455 amps you can key with 1/4 watt.
Klint,
1 watt swinging 5 sounds perfect. The 667V will last you a very long time like that! The extra output from the amplifier when driven with 10-15 watts vs. 1 swinging 5 will not be noticed on the receiving end.
Needle watchers (aka Watt Meter Slaves) are closet amp killers!!
