i wouldn't send it off to them anyway.i'm sure i could figure

out something else instead.sounds like their service is about

anyone dealt w/kenwood's customer service?

i just bought a (new) tm-261a at the dayton hamfest,and just

as luck would have it,the lil "baby" speaker (internal) is bad!

man does it sound terrible!(along w/everyone else on it,LOL)

and i thought (was hoping) maybe they would just send me a new replacement and NOT have to send the unit back in!

i probably won't use it much anyway(the internal spkr),but

i would prefer to have it "fully operational" as it is new!

i did shoot 'em an email tonight and will wait and see what

comes of it,if anything at all!! just curious 'bout them.thanks,

thanks for replying T600.i had forgotten about my post and

now i will update y'all. kenwood customer service responded

to my email within a few days.all i had to do was fax them a copy of my sales receipt and "poof",they confirmed they had

RX'ed my fax and within a week i had my new little speaker!!!

man was i shocked to say the least! all things considered,

these are great sounding little speakers,BUT as you said,i

usually run an external speaker anyhow,sounds much better!
