I have a Kenwood TW-4000a that neither TX or RX .... trust me when I say I have checked it out completly on repeaters without tones and on simplex on both 2m and 70cm and it isn't working . I see the meter move on key-up so it has audio but the repeaters and other radios , when on simplex , never hear it so there's no TX . It's the same with the RX , it isn't hearing the repeaters identify or the other operators when they're talking . There's just no TX or RX and I was hoping that maybe someone here might know a bit about these radios and shine a little light on what might be causing this to happen ... is this an easy fix ?

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
