Bottom cover off, radio upside down

Bottom up

PLL board to right of vfo.

Locate fixed wire plug, left side of PLL a six wire plug.

Second wire from front must be cut - white/purple.

*Optional single pole switch in series makes it switchable.

Coverage will be 26.435 to 28.055,

Display will read 2 megacycles up, from 28.435 to 30.055

*There is a couple of holes in the back of the radio for at switch so you don't have to drill.

It actually works!?? Have you tried it? Do I cut the wire off the six plug or just cut it in half?! Thanks!
Also any tuning for maximum sensitivity for receive on that band or will it not be nededed
Thanks!
Daniel.

Break the wire and extend each side of the cut with new wire, long enough to reach a newly-installed toggle switch on the rear panel.

That is, if you want to go back to 10 meters.

Ok, what if I just leave it cut? I’m guessing it will stay on 11m? I don’t care much for 10m to be honest

Go to Mods.DK and look for the article in the Ts-530 section.
The mod is the same for the 830 as they use the same board.
Jumper a few diodes with a little soldering work and no switch needed and the
display reads properly.
I did it to mine a few years ago my comment is posted in the article
