what are keydowns and radiogates and how far are they transmitting typically are they a few feat or 20 miles away or so on recieve. the videos i'v sean they are pushing over 20 db. also what is the typical wattag and how do they keap the swr down with the higher wattag with a low mobile antenna ?

keydown is a competition between two stations,and radiogate or videogate is
a recording of far,far,far away station.
 
A videogate is a video recording of a conversation between any two or more stations that can be posted on the internet. It can be done by one of the people in that videogate - or even by someone that is listening to others conversations. GO to Google and then YouTube and then punch in "videogates". All kinds of 'em, even some by forum members too.

Check out 4040, fortymobile, toker kid, and others...

eye dount think hees comming bak. LOL! Nevertheless the turnout at these keydowns have been dying off and sooner or later they will just be a memory!

so the keydowns they are sitting pretty close to one another and the videogates they are a ways apart? and a key down typicaly how far away is the recieve station?

15-25 miles is the normal distance for the watergate. When they are only keying from 20 ft apart and doing 400-60,000 watts in these keydowns these competitors normally bring a few radios with them. If these mobiles don't unkey at exactly the same time, radios will be blown.

Not if at least one of those morons have a manual disconnect on the receive side of the last amp inline.
